Sunset on the Inside Passage

On our last day at sea we cruised through the Canadian Inside Passage.  After dinner we went up on deck with our table mates and watched the sunset. 

I found this port hole type window to frame my photo.

Now this is a cool house.  What do you this that little house is on the edge?  We got a bit closer and found out it was an art studio.  Could you imagine working in that studio?  Amazing!

Then the sun began to set.  Fabulous!

Then the sky turned these beautiful pinks and purples. 

The next day we left the ship in Vancouver.  This was a nice way to end our cruise.

I just did an update in PICASA  and they have added a whole bunch of new filters and editing tricks.  I took a picture from our trip to Colorado and put different filters, frames and edits on it.

Totem Poles

If you have been following my other BLOG, you have read about our visit to the totem pole park.  We saw poles in other cities too.  So I thought I would give you some close up shots of the totems! 

Totems tell the stories of different native americans clans.  They have other meanings too.  You can read about totems HERE.

Backyard BEAUTY!

I grabbed my camera and headed to the backyard today.  Since this is our first year at our house, I am discovering all that blooms each season.  I love filling my len with all of God's handiwork. 

Not sure the name of this flower, but I love the purple color!!

Look at all that texture in the pedals and detail in the middle, BEAUTIFUL!

We have Azealia bushes.  I have to practice taking pictures of the white flowers. 

 They were pretty washed out. 

Then when I walked out front, I found this bush of Peonies.  I love these flowers.  They are so BIG!

 That bud exploded into this flower!  LOVE IT!

I had to cut a  few of these and bring

them inside for our dining table.

New Birdfeeder

We put a new birdfeeder up on our big picture windows. 

 It has taken the birdies a few weeks to get

use to flying right up to the glass. 

I grabbed my camera today to see what I could catch.   

Blurry, grrrrr.  But look, he has a big old sunflower seed!

I think he sees me!

Reflections

I just looked at this POST from DPS. It has a bunch of reflection photographs. I like the one of the girl on the train. I am going to get one like that on our train trip in Alaska this May! They are so amazing. So I thought I would share some of my attempts of photographing reflections.
