Forget-me-not

Alaska's state flower, the wild native Alpine forget-me-not (Myosotis alpestris), grows well throughout Alaska in open, rocky places high in the mountains. I found these flowers during our hikes in Alaska.  They are sooooo tiny.  I love daisys, but I think this may be my new favorite flower.

Hebrews 13:16
"But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

Have a blessed day!

Alaskan Runways

While I was sitting on our balcony, I kept seeing planes taking off right in front of me.  Was it rush hour?

1:50 people have a pilots licences in Alaska.  A lot of the cities in Alaska are only accessible by plane.
This sure is a nice runway!

Word Art Wednesday

What a great reminder that the Lord is
constantly watching over His children!

I found this little mountain Bluebird in the Red Rocks of Colorado.  He was so striking against the dessert landscape.  I am sharing this over at Word Art Wednesday
Todays word art also reminded me of the Gospel song with the same name:  His Eye is On the Sparrow.  Here is a video I found for you listen to.

Weekend In Review

I thought I would share my weekend with you all using, Instagram.  I love this App! The kids dressed up like cows in order to get free food from Chick-Fil-A on Friday.
Sarah and Matthew celebrating Cow Appreciation Day!  First free breakfast!

Then they met up with their other cow friends for some lunch.

Then they headed to a wedding rehearsal.
While the kids were gone, we went to my favorite garden center to get a house warming gift for my son and his girlfriend.  I got distracted by all these pretty blue pots.

Then I turn around and see THIS!  They are so creative, using a Weber grill for a mini garden.
Does anyone have an extra grill they don't want.
Here is the top of the grill.  Look at those tiny boots, so cute!

How about an old wagon?
I see a mini garden in my future.

You better hide your kids shoes when I come over or they may end up with plants in them.  Soooooo cute.

This guy got to this feeder during the week.  We moved it out to the middle of our window.  He looks a little sad that he can no longer reach the seed.

On Sunday we went to visit Christopher and Kara at their new apartment.  They made fondue.  We had a wonderful cheese fondue and a yummy caramel dessert fondue.
Well that was our weekend in pictures.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Secret Garden

Let me set the scene..... My freind Jule took me out to breakfast at the Tin Pan Galley in Sackets Harbor, NY.  It is the cutest little harbor town, on Lake Ontario.
Besides serving this delicious stuffed french toast, they have a little secret!

Behind this apple tree is the entrance to their garden. The resturant grows all their own herbs, fruits, veggies and flowers in the "backyard".

This is an apple tree they have trained to grow on a metal framing.  It is so cool.  It was hard to photograph, but you get the idea.
This is the back side of the tree.

When you walk through the arch you are hit by all the fragrant herbs and flowers.

I love daisies!

Cute garden shed and yes, I took a picture of that bum on purpose.
So after the checking out that garden we walked down the street to some shops.  But you know me, I get side tracked by FLOWERS.  Look at this pretty front yard garden.  They built a little fairy garden arch.  So many pretty flowers!

There were so many gardens to look at,
I could have shot for hours.
Thanks for stopping by my little bolg.
 Have a blessed day!

Sunset on the Inside Passage

On our last day at sea we cruised through the Canadian Inside Passage.  After dinner we went up on deck with our table mates and watched the sunset.

I found this port hole type window to frame my photo.

Now this is a cool house.  What do you this that little house is on the edge?  We got a bit closer and found out it was an art studio.  Could you imagine working in that studio?  Amazing!

Then the sun began to set.  Fabulous!

Then the sky turned these beautiful pinks and purples.
The next day we left the ship in Vancouver.  This was a nice way to end our cruise.
