Mushrooms

While my hubby and I are walking the trails, I am always looking out for interesting things to shoot.  Today it was mushrooms.

Normally I would have just walked on
by a mushroom growing on the forest floor.
But these tiny gems were so bright they caught my eye.

So then I thought why not see how many
different ones I can find on our walk.

A bit blurry, but I like how it shows the long stem.

I didn't realize they came in so many different colors!

I found a WIKI page on mushrooms.  I think this would make a great science project for the kiddos!
Take your camera out on a hike and see what you can find!
 Happy shooting!

  1. Fabulous photography!! We home educated and at one point the children were intrigued with mushrooms. I even have a field guide for them. There are so many shapes, sizes, and colors!! Blessings, Tracey
